SD card backup is 2nd copy of your backup file that is generated when you clicks on backup option menu of the app.

Depending on the manufecturer it can be on secondary storage of your phone's internal memory or may be on SD card if available.

Its because different android device manufecturer companies have different notion of secondary storage.
